Canada is a beautiful and vast land. It is the second largest country in the world after Russia; occupying the northern half of the North American continent with a land mass of 9,970,610 km2.

From West to East, Canada has six time zones: Pacific, Mountain, Central, Eastern, Atlantic, and Newfoundland.

Canadian Provinces and Territories

Canada is divided into five regional areas; ten provinces and three territories.
The Central Region: includes the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
The Prairies: Manitoba, Saskatchewan and some parts of Alberta.
The East: also referred to as the Atlantic region, includes the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
The West: includes most of Alberta and British Columbia.
The North: is made up of the three territories: Nunavut, Yukon, and Northwest Territories.

Canada is a member of the G8, G20, NATO, OECD, WTO, Commonwealth, Francophone, OAS, APEC and the UN.
